Nine landing page fixes that beat a redesign
Before commissioning a rebuild, work through the changes that routinely lift conversion on the page you already have.
Match the message
If the ad promised a free audit, the first line of the page should say free audit. Mismatched messaging is the single most common reason a well targeted campaign converts poorly.
Remove the navigation
A campaign landing page with a full site menu offers a dozen ways to leave. Take them away and leave one action.
Shorten the form, then shorten it again
Every field costs you completions. Ask for what you genuinely need to have the first conversation, and collect the rest later.
Put proof next to the doubt
Testimonials at the bottom of the page arrive after the decision. Move the relevant proof directly beside the claim that prompts scepticism.
Make it fast on a phone
Test on a mid range Android device on mobile data rather than office wifi. If the hero image takes four seconds, nothing else on this list will save you.
Then test properly
Change one meaningful thing at a time, run it until the numbers are stable, and record the result. Stacked untested changes teach you nothing.
